Following a consultant's site inspection, One Stop Fire rectified the fire separation between the venue and the storage room. Works included a two-layer 50mm FIREFLY batt infill to the gap between the top of the block wall and the slab above, with all services fire stopped using intumescent mastic and Peno wrap; a new Riley Air access panel and nylon breakaway joints to the mechanical ductwork serving the existing fire damper; and completion of the incomplete block wall with new steel stud framing, compressed mineral wool and two layers of 16mm fire-rated plasterboard each side, sealed at all junctions.
